Why use BIBS pacifiers?
Comforting Danish infants for over 40 years, these premium choice dummies have quickly become a favourite amongst our FJ fans! And with our wide range of colours and sizes, there’s something for every taste, giving little ones a colourful start to life!
COLOUR
These BIBS pacifiers have a round shield, with three vent holes and a round BIBS engraved handle ring – this is also available with a glow-in-the-dark handle ring, making life a little easier for our FJ Mammas at night!
The cherry-shaped nipple has been carefully designed with a valve system, to support the baby’s natural sucking reflex, and shapes to his/her oral cavity.
DE LUX
The De Lux pacifier is BIBS' modern and timeless pacifier, with an elegant hidden gathering in an enhanced matte finish for a Premium look. The dup is made large, so it is easy to print a name on, making it perfect for daycare. The nipple on the De Lux pacifier is a round nipple that resembles the shape and size of the mother’s nipple to provide comfort to your baby. Further, the round nipple promotes a similar tongue placement and sucking technique when breastfeeding, since the round shape allow the sides of the tongue to elevate and cup around the nipple, just like it does during breastfeeding.
SUPREME
Supreme is BIBS' exclusive wide shield pacifier. With its symmetrical flat-drop shaped nipple, it accommodates babies who prefer the flat symmetrical nipple shape. The drop-shaped nipple promotes a tongue placement and sucking technique where the tongue is flat and presses the pacifier flat against the palate, which means that the baby does not need to suck as hard, as with a round nipple, for the pacifier to flatten inside the mouth.
Like other BIBS pacifiers, the nipple is equipped with a valve, letting out air when the baby closes down on the nipple. This ventilation system causes the air from inside the nipple to be pushed out through the valve thereby flattening the nipple to shape naturally after the baby’s oral cavity.
COUTURE
Couture is the newest member of the BIBS pacifier family. The anatomical nipple - also known as an orthodontic nipple - is curved at the top for a natural fit to the baby’s palate with an angled tip for easy tongue placement.
The curved top promotes a tongue placement and sucking technique where the sides of the tongue cup around the nipple, like it, does during breastfeeding. The angled tip means that the baby does not need to suck as hard, as with a round nipple, for the pacifier to flatten inside the mouth. Because the nipple is not symmetrical the pacifier must be placed the right way in the baby’s mouth. To ensure this, the shield has been specially designed to resemble a butterfly, so it is easy to see which way the pacifier should turn.
All BIBS shields are carefully designed with holes on each side to ensure minimum contact with the sensitive and delicate skin around the baby’s mouth, which means less chance of moisture build-up from saliva that can cause rashes and sore spots.
The COLOUR, SUPREME + COUTURE pacifiers' nipples are manufactured from 100% natural rubber latex – a super soft, elastic, and resilient material, very much resembling the Mother’s soft nipple.
The BIBS DE LUX range is available in silicone, the industrially manufactured hypoallergenic, odourless, and taste-neutral material has a smooth transparent nipple – it’s not as soft as the rubber latex, but it retains its shape, does not age, and can withstand high temperatures.

The BIBS pacifier is 100% free from BPA, PVS and Phthalates.
Available in sizes ONE, TWO + THREE (Latex) or ONE SIZE (Silicone)!

Some FAQ’s and NB care instructions:
+        What size pacifier to choose?
This is a very general guide, so we recommend trying out different sizes until you find the perfect fit for your little one. All sizes can be used from birth, it just comes down to your baby’s preference. It is not dangerous to give a newborn a size 3, but because some prefer a smaller size, we reference the following BIBS World recommendations:

Silicone

  • One size – birth onwards
Latex
  • Size 1 – 0+ months
  • Size 2 –    6+ months
  • Size 3 –  18+ months
+        When should I replace my BIBS pacifier?
– BIBS World recommends the replacement of latex and silicone pacifiers every 4-6 weeks for hygienic reasons.
– Because this is a natural rubber latex comes with a natural aging process, affected by natural influences like UV-light, air, saliva, and heat.
– Since natural rubber latex is a natural material, colour variation of the nipple may occur.
Some children will not take a pacifier that is different from the one the child is used to. So, if you experience that the pacifier expands, replace the pacifier before the child gets used to the bigger nipple size.
– Replacement is recommended when you notice any of the following characteristics:
  • Changes in the surface
  • Changes in size
  • Change in shape
  • Rupture in the material
  • Becomes brittle or sticky
+        Care and cleaning the right way!
– The natural rubber latex should be scalded rather than boiled!
– Put the pacifiers in a clean bowl. Cover them with plenty of boiling water and let them soak for approximately 5min.
– Pick them up and let them dry on a clean towel.
– The nipple’s valve system is also the reason why water can be presented inside the teat after cleaning. If this is the case, simply squeeze the teat flat to remove the excess water.

+        IMPORTANT DON’Ts
  • Do not leave natural rubber latex pacifiers in direct sunlight.
  • Do not put the pacifiers in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use UV or steam sterilizers for the pacifiers.
  • Do not use microwave sterilization for any latex pacifiers.
  • ONLY silicone can be microwave sterilized.
  • Do not freeze the pacifiers.
TIP: When the child is over 3 months, you can also rinse the pacifier by placing them in a sieve and pouring over them with boiling water. This method is faster and avoids water collecting inside the nipple.
+ Which should I choose – natural rubber latex OR silicone?

Latex is a natural material, whereas the silicone is an industrial material, manufactured with food-grade silicone which is 100% free of harmful ingredients.

Silicone pacifiers ultimately don’t age and last longer than latex, because they can withstand high temperatures (like microwave sterilization) and retain their shape. Latex on the other hand has a natural ageing process and is affected by natural influences like UV-light, air, saliva, heat etc.

It is recommended that if you have a latex allergy in the family that you go with a silicone pacifier, as it is an allergy-friendly material.

Silicone is odourless/taste-neutral, whereas latex can have a slight characteristic odour/taste.

Each material is unique, and both have great properties. Remember, although as a parent we may have a preference to which material we prefer, all babies are different and when it comes down to it, they’ll decide which they prefer while other babies do not have any preferences and will take whatever material you offer.

All BIBS pacifiers are certified to conform to the EU directive concerned with safety, health, and environment. (Pacifier Safety requirements by European standard EN 1400+A2).
Returns are not permitted on the BIBS pacifiers.
